Welcome to Miss B’s award winning tea rooms

Miss B’s Tea Rooms is Leicestershire’s only Tea Guild Award of Excellence Member.

Miss B’s Tea Rooms is set on the second floor of a Grade 2 listed building in the market town of Melton Mowbray, famed for its Stilton cheese, pork pies and more recently the title of ‘Rural Capital of Food!’

The heavy beams and uneven floors all add to the ambience in our Traditional Tea Rooms. This sets the scene for a relaxing experience, where customer service is second to none and nothing is too much trouble. Real loose leaf tea is served from china pots into bone china tea cups, sugar with tongs to help to set the scene.

We offer a wide selection of delicious sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes and light lunches including Dickinson and Morris pork pies and Long Clawson Stilton Cheese, as well as homemade Gluten Free and dairy free cakes and scones.   Afternoon Teas and Cream Teas are our speciality!

  • review rating 5  This hidden gem among the shops is easily missed if you are not paying attention. Climbing up the old narrow staircase we arrived at a charming little tea room where we took a seat by the window overlooking Melton Mowbray's busy streets. After an active mornings shopping it was a welcome respite and an opportunity to recharge our aging bones so we ordered 2 rounds of ham toasties and tea. This happily fed three of us and tasted great as everything was prepared with real care and presented beautifully with the pot if tea so enormous that it would have been quite at home at one of Lewis Carroll's tea parties. The next time you are in Melton Mowbray then I certainly recommend you pop in as I am sure it will quickly become a regular favourite.
